Happy Thanksgiving y'all

So many reasons again this year to be thankful for. But I'd like to give a special thank to all our american friends who send us messages, flowers, kind thoughts ... after the sad event happened recently in Paris. We are so grateful to have you all around supporting us. You are all in our mind.

It is Thanksgiving, but no turkey for me ( I am terrible at this ! ), I am in charge of the dessert this year. I'd like to share my favorite one, the lemon cheese cake. Some of you have already tried it, you can leave a message to share what you think of this delicious dessert if you want to. I'm going to do some chouquettes ( to go with coffe and tea ) as well, tomorrow morning.

Ingredients:

- 3 ounces lemon gelatin (jello)

- 1 cup boiling water

- 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice

- 16 ounces heavy cream, well chilled

- 8 ounces cream cheese

- 1 cup sugar ( I put a little bit less than 1 cup )

- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla ( I put 2 pouches of vanilla sugar instead)

- ladyfingers

Preparation :

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water and cool to room temperature.

Stir in lemon juice.

Whip cream until stiff peaks form, set aside. For a quicker result, I put my bowl in the freezer a couple of minute before and I whip de cream on another bowl full of ice.

Don't forget to remove the bowl of cream from the bowl of ice to set aside, otherwise the whip cream is going to freeze.

Cream together cream cheese, sugar and vanilla (or vanilla sugar).

Beat in gelatin mixture.

Fold whipped cream into cream cheese and gelatin mixture.

Lines sides and bottom of pan with ladyfingers.

Pour in filling.

Cover and chill overnight in refrigerator.

To serve, place on a serving dish and unmold ( or not, it's not easy-peasy !).
